MedKoo CAT#: 465269

CAS#: 904576-65-4

Description: MMV665917 is an anticryptosporidial agent with in vitro and in vivo efficacy against Cryptosporidium parvum. MMV665917 significantly reduced fecal oocyst excretion, parasite colonization and damage to the intestinal mucosa, and peak diarrheal symptoms, compared with infected untreated controls. MMV665917 appeared to be curative in a NOD SCID gamma mouse model of chronic cryptosporidiosis. MMV665917 was also efficacious in a gamma interferon knockout mouse model of acute cryptosporidiosis.
