Description: Propylthiouracil is a drug used to treat hyperthyroidism by decreasing the amount of thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Propylthiouracil-d5 is a labelled antihyperthyroid that has been shown to increase the size of adipose tissue in vitro. It is a peroxidase inhibitor.
