Description: Tricosanoic acid inhibits lysis of human erythrocytes induced by S. aureus delta toxin. Tricosanoic acid levels are decreased in the sebum of patients with papulopustular rosacea and increased in malignant, but not adjacent nonmalignant, prostate tissue in patients with prostate cancer.
