MedKoo CAT#: 414876

CAS#: 67254-28-8

Description: DOPG-Na is a phospholipid containing the long-chain (18:1) fatty acid oleic acid inserted at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. It can be used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, and other artificial membranes. DOPG is an anionic phospholipid derivative. The negatively charged liposomes prepared with DOPG has been found to possess the best loading capacity and encapsulation rate for Peptide Nucleic Acid (PNA) oligomers.

Biological target: DOPG is a phospholipid containing the long-chain (18:1) fatty acid oleic acid inserted at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. It can be used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, and other artificial membranes.
In vitro activity: DOPG inhibited TLR2 activation induced in response to HSPB4, as well as DAMPs that are elevated in diabetes. DOPG demonstrated anti-inflammatory actions, which support further investigation into its development as a possible therapy for corneal injury, especially in diabetic patients at high risk of vision-threatening complications. In vivo activity: DOPG promoted keratinocyte proliferation and had anti-inflammatory properties, notably inhibiting Toll-like receptor activation in both keratinocytes and the innate immune system. DOPG enhanced macrophage mitochondrial function. DOPG could address the oxidative stress, reduced keratinocyte proliferation, and increased inflammation commonly associated with chronic diabetic wounds, making it a promising candidate to facilitate wound healing.
