Description: VERU-111 is a novel, oral α and β tubulin inhibitor that blocks tubulin polymerization and is not a substrate for multi-drug resistance mechanisms. In xenograft models of taxane responsive and resistant cancers, VERU-111 results in almost complete tumor inhibition at ≤20 mg/kg orally dosed infrequently as 1/week. VERU-111 and docetaxel were tested in the human PCa model, 22Rv1 which expresses androgen receptor splice variants, including AR-V7, and is resistant to abiraterone and enzalutamide.
