Description: WUN 81618, also known as Tri(t-butoxycarbonylethoxymethyl) ethanol is a branched PEG derivative with a terminal hydroxy group and three t-butyl esters. The hydroxy group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups. The t-butyl protected carboxyl groups can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions. This product has no formal name at the moment. For the convenience of communication, a temporary code name was therefore proposed according to MedKoo Chemical Nomenclature (see web page: https://www.medkoo.com/page/naming).
